Risk Officer (Commodity Trader)
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a very well-established commodity trading business with offices in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Risk Officer (Commodity Trader) to join their team. The successful applicant will be responsible for Asian Market trades and for accurately executing client orders based on company processes and policies, while minimizing overall risk. Please note this position will require very early working morning hours due to the Asian market requirements 03:00 OR 04:00 AM - 08:30 OR 09:00.
Role Overview:
With direct responsibility for all hedging and pricing he/she executes, the candidate will also be expected to develop solid knowledge of the London Metal Exchange and be able to spot trading opportunities, recommend these to the management and execute them accordingly. The candidate will also be responsible to accurately record and report a variety of data regarding the trades executed on a daily weekly and monthly basis to relevant Members of Management and Business partners.

Key Skills/Experience:
- Highly creditable education degree or bachelor’s level in business, finance, IT, or similar field.
- Previously market risk management experience at an Investment Bank or Trading house will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of commodity markets desirable.
- Highly numerical with strong interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, disciplined, mature, trustworthy, dependable, and devoted.
- Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm important.
