CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an international Real Estate Investment Firm with regional offices in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Payroll Officer to join their growing team based in Larnaca. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional payroll processing services in accordance with company policies, procedures, and standards. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, or another related field, who possess approximately 3+ years of experience in payroll preparation. Proficiency in payroll software and ERP systems is highly desirable, and you must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Fluency in both Greek and English is a must, along with integrity and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Preparation of the payroll for the Group, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Calculating wages, Tax, Social Insurance and GESY deductions, and other relevant payroll elements.
  • Coordinating with HR and finance department.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax and payroll regulations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
  • Monitoring the amendments in the legislation relating to the payroll.
  • Handling benefits administration, including leave, and contributions.
  • Supporting internal and external audits by preparing payroll data as required.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive payroll information.
  • Performing any other tasks as specified by Management.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll preparation.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and ERP systems is preferred.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of Greek and English.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
